Research and Planning: Double page Spread

I am going to analyse a pop music magazine double spread. The type of story used in the article is an interview to the American boy band. I know this without reading it by the layout of the copy. It has got the questions asked white, highlighted green. To make the question stand out.

Around the article there is pictures of the boy group with caption in a pink box, to make it stand out from the background of the picture; it is also makes it easier to read. The colours used throughout the magazine is green, pink, white and black. The colours that are used in the copy matches the colours in the image. The main picture is medium long shot and is at a high angle, making the boys look edgy.

Through all the article they put some of the copy in highlighted boxes.

The target audience of this magazine is young girls between the ages of 12 - 16. This article does this by the main picture of the boy band, looking like they have an attitude and looking up to the picture making them look edgy. This drags the audience in before reading about. At the top of the page it says "hottie alert" aiming it towards young girls.
